Shoe cleaning
We recommend a few steps to preserve the splendour of these shoes for years:
Place the shoes in the fabric bag provided at the time of purchase and store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
Keep away from water, substances containing alcohol (perfumes, solvents, etc.) and any abrasive products.
In the event of contact with water, it is important to allow the shoe to dry completely before cleaning.
Wear new shoes gradually, allowing the leather to soften and adapt to the shape of your foot.
Avoid wearing shoes on consecutive days.
Use a shoe horn to protect the back of the shoes.
Use the shoetree to maintain the shape of your shoes and minimise creasing.

How and when to clean shoes

Leather
Clean smooth or hammered leather with a soft, damp cloth. When the leather is completely dry, apply neutral cream and good quality polish with a soft cloth using small circular movements.
Waxed or polished leather
Clean waxed or polished leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then polish with a soft dry cloth.
Avoid applying shoe creams, as they tend to give a dull effect to waxed or shiny leather. If necessary, apply a small amount of polish to maintain the shine of the leather.
Suede - velvet
In order to preserve the velvety appearance of the leather, clean it gently with a soft bristle brush. Stains can be removed with a rubber brush.
If possible, apply a neutral waterproofing spray before first use and reapply if necessary.
Patent leather
Clean the patent leather with a soft, damp and preferably light-coloured cloth, then finish by wiping with a clean cloth. Avoid prolonged contact between the patent leather and other leathers to prevent staining.
Metallic calfskin
Metallic leather is fragile and delicate. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. To preserve its beauty, do not rub and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces or substances.
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
Exotic leather
Exotic leather is precious and delicate. Clean with a soft, dry cloth, then gently apply a quality neutral cream following the direction of the scales to nourish the leather and preserve its softness.
Embroidery and special materials
These materials are delicate by nature and require special care.
Sneakers
Clean shoes with a brush or a soft, slightly damp cloth.
To preserve their beauty, do not rub and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces or substances.
Sneakers have a removable insole to allow natural air circulation inside.
If they are damp, remove the inner sole and allow them to dry in a cool, well-ventilated place to ensure maximum comfort every time you wear them.
